Anthony was born in Trinidad and Tobago. He migrated to the U.S. at the age of ten with his family, and New Jersey has been home ever since. After graduating from Saint Anthony High School, he went on to further his education at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
While in college he interned at CBS in Los Angeles, California working on shows like Entertainment Tonight, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He says it was an experience of a lifetime. He’s a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, and in 2009, he graduated with a degree in Telecommunications and a minor in Ethnic Studies.
Anthony began his television news career at the CBS affiliate in Champaign, Illinois where he started out as a part time camera operator. Eventually, he worked his way up to the weekday morning anchor & earned his very first Emmy nomination.
After six years in Illinois, Anthony accepted the Morning Anchor position at the NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia. In this position, he has had the opportunity to cover major stories such as an exclusive interview with the contractor who took down the Confederate monuments, social justice protests in the summer of 2020 & breaking political news live from Washington, D.C., lead the Act of Kindness weekly franchise & has won 4 Emmy’s.
Anthony, his wife, and their two dogs are looking forward to experiencing everything a new city has to offer.
